The current figure reflects the change in gross wages in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. By contrast, the previous indicator of 5.10% captured the year-over-year change recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The acceleration suggests mounting wage pressures in the Czech labor market on an annual basis, as employers are paying noticeably more than they did a year earlier, with the pace of increase now clearly above that seen at the end of 2025.
