FX.co ★ Belarus Inflation Hits 19-Month Low

Belarus’s annual inflation rate slowed to 4.8% in May 2026, down from 5.4% in April, reaching its lowest level since October 2023. The deceleration was driven mainly by weaker price growth for food products (4.9% vs. 6.3% a month earlier), while inflation for non-food goods held steady at 2%. In contrast, services inflation inched up slightly, to 8.5% from 8.4% in April. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.1%, following a 0.8% increase in the previous month.
