Denmark’s consumer confidence improved to -14.0 in June 2026 from -19.8 in May, marking its highest level since March. Consumers were less pessimistic about the overall economy, both in their views of the current situation (-21.8 vs -35.9 in May) and their expectations for the next 12 months (-18.7 vs -26.7). Assessments of household finances also strengthened, for both the past year (-10.1 vs -13.6) and the year ahead (-5.3 vs -9.5).
However, sentiment regarding major purchases worsened slightly (-13.9 vs -13.2). Outside the headline index, price expectations softened for both the present (37.2 vs 44.0) and the coming 12 months (29.9 vs 40.8). At the same time, concerns about unemployment over the next year eased (17.8 vs 22.2).
