FX.co ★ Armenia Economic Activity Growth at 5-Month High

Armenia’s economic activity surged by 11.7% year-on-year in May 2026, accelerating from 7.1% in April and marking the strongest expansion since December 2025. The upturn was largely driven by robust growth in construction (27.1% vs 24.7% in April) and services (14.7% vs 8.2%). In contrast, industrial growth moderated to 9.5% from 11.7%, while trade activity was flat following a marginal 0.1% increase in April. On a monthly basis, overall economic activity rose by 1.2%, easing from a 6.0% surge in the previous month. For the January–May period, economic activity stood 8.0% above the level recorded a year earlier.
