The latest figure, updated on 30 June 2026, marks a substantial strengthening from the 3.10% year-over-year growth reported in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The data are based on a year-over-year comparison, measuring how much GDP in the first quarter of 2026 has changed relative to the same quarter a year earlier. The previous reading did the same comparison for the fourth quarter of 2025 against the fourth quarter of the prior year. The doubling of the annual growth rate from Q4 2025 to Q1 2026 underscores a notable improvement in Denmark’s economic performance as the new year began.
