Poland’s annual inflation rate slowed to 2.5% year-on-year in June 2026, down from 3.1% in May, reaching its lowest level since February, according to a preliminary estimate. The deceleration was primarily driven by a 0.3% decline in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In contrast, prices for electricity, gas, and other fuels rose by 4.8%, while the cost of fuels and lubricants for private transport increased by 5.3%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.5% in June, following a 0.3% drop in May, marking the second consecutive monthly decline since May 2025.
