Swedish consumer confidence strengthened modestly in July, with the Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI) ticking up to 58.60, from 57.79 in June 2026. The latest reading, updated on 9 July 2026, reflects a month-over-month improvement in households’ economic outlook.
The July gain extends the positive trend seen in June, when the index also advanced compared with the previous month. Under the survey’s methodology, the “Actual” figure measures the change in July versus June, while the “Previous” comparison captures how June’s sentiment moved relative to May.
While the increase is incremental, the move above June’s level suggests Swedish consumers remain cautiously optimistic about their financial conditions and the broader economy as the second half of 2026 begins.
