Producer prices in Hungary fell by 0.4% year-on-year in June 2026, after a 0.7% decrease in May. Non-domestic output prices continued to decline, though at a slower rate (-1.4% vs. -1.8% in May), while growth in domestic output prices eased slightly (1.8% vs. 1.9%).
By sector, prices in mining and quarrying moved into decline (-3.1% vs. +0.4% previously), and inflation in water collection, treatment, and supply moderated (2.5% vs. 2.7%). The overall fall in industrial producer prices also moderated (-0.4% vs. -0.7%), whereas price growth in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply accelerated (8.8% vs. 7.5%). Manufacturing producer prices continued to contract, dropping by 2.2%.
On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1% in June, reversing the 1.7% decline recorded in the previous month.
