Italy’s consumer confidence index rose to 94.2 in July 2026 from 92.4 in June, surpassing market expectations of 92.5. This was the highest level since February 2025, with all major components improving, driven primarily by a broad-based increase in expectations. The economic climate sub-index climbed to 90.9 from 87.6, and the future climate index advanced to 89.8 from 87.4, signaling a more optimistic outlook for the overall economy. The personal climate index increased to 95.4 from 94.2, while the current climate index inched up to 97.4 from 96.2.
