Canada’s Ivey PMI slipped to 55.1 in July 2026 from 56.2 in June, coming in just below market expectations of 55.5 but remaining firmly in expansionary territory. This was the second consecutive monthly decline and the weakest reading since March.
The employment index edged down to 52.2 from 53.6, still pointing to ongoing job growth. In contrast, the prices index climbed to 75.5 from 73.7, highlighting intensifying cost pressures. The supplier deliveries index rose to 45.9 from 44.3, after hovering near 44 since April, while the inventories index increased to 54.9 from 50.9, maintaining an expansionary stance.
