Headline inflation accelerated to 4.4% in July from 3.7% in June, while core inflation remained elevated and risks to the inflation outlook stayed skewed to the upside. Nevertheless, the Bank revised its inflation forecast for 2026 down to around 5%, from a previous estimate of 5.5%, citing recent inflation developments and budgetary measures, including additional subsidies on selected staple goods.
