Paraguay’s trade deficit widened to $95.98 million in July 2026, up from $89.07 million in the same month a year earlier, as import growth outpaced that of exports. Total imports jumped 30.6% year-on-year to $2.04 billion, driven by higher purchases of intermediate goods (up 36.9%), capital goods (up 36.7%), and consumer goods (up 18.2%). Over the same period, exports increased 32% to $1.94 billion. Within exports, sales of primary products grew 27.7%, agricultural manufacturing exports rose 24.2%, and industrial manufacturing exports surged 40.9%.
