Cyprus’s economy expanded by 3.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, up from 3% in the previous quarter, according to preliminary estimates. Growth was driven by robust activity in wholesale and retail trade, motor vehicle repair, information and communication, financial and insurance services, as well as the construction sector. On a quarterly basis, GDP increased by 0.8% in the second quarter, following an upwardly revised 0.5% rise in the preceding period.
