FX.co ★ Swedish Producer Inflation at 3-Month Low

Producer prices in Sweden rose 6.4% year-on-year in July 2026, down from 7.4% in June, marking the fifth consecutive monthly increase and the smallest annual gain since April. The slowdown was mainly driven by more moderate growth in energy prices (26.0% vs 37.7% in June). In contrast, prices for capital goods accelerated slightly (1.6% vs 1.5%), while the decline in consumer goods prices became less pronounced (-1.6% vs -1.8%). Excluding energy-related products, producer prices increased by 3.5%, picking up from 3.3% in the previous month. Domestic producer prices rose by 7.6%, and import prices were up 8.6%. On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1% in July, matching June’s pace. “It was mainly lower prices for trade services of electricity that contributed to the negative monthly rate of change in the domestic market,” said Chatrine Lundbeck, statistician at Statistics Sweden.
