French domestic producer prices rose by 1.1% month-on-month in July 2026, rebounding from a revised 0.4% decline in June. Prices of manufactured products increased by 0.7%, after a 0.6% drop in the previous month, largely driven by a sharp rebound in coke and refined petroleum products (+13.4% vs -12.0%), amid renewed geopolitical tensions and attacks on Russian refineries. On a yearly basis, prices in this category have accelerated and remain exceptionally elevated (+50.5% vs +37.9%).
Costs also rose for electrical and electronic equipment, computers, and machinery (+0.3% vs +0.3%), for transport equipment (+0.4% vs 0%), and for other manufactured products (+0.1% vs +0.2%). By contrast, food product prices fell by 0.2% after a 0.1% increase in June. Prices for mining and quarrying, energy, and water climbed 2.9% following no change in the previous month.
On an annual basis, domestic producer prices increased by 3.4% in July, up from a revised 2.8% rise in June, marking the fastest pace of growth since May 2023.
