Producer prices in Jordan rose 3.64% year-on-year in July 2026, easing from a 5.27% increase in June. The deceleration was largely driven by a marked slowdown in the manufacturing sector, where prices advanced 3.55% compared with 5.82% in the previous month. Within manufacturing, the moderation reflected weaker inflation in the production of coke and refined petroleum products, chemicals and chemical products, other non-metallic mineral products, rubber and plastic products, paper and paper products, as well as motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers.
In contrast, price pressures strengthened in other sectors. Costs in mining and quarrying accelerated to 6.99% from 1.50%, while prices in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply rose 1.91% compared with 0.52% in June.
On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 1.07% in July, a slightly smaller drop than the 1.15% fall recorded in the previous month.
