Industrial production in the Czech Republic increased by 3.1% year-on-year in July 2026, easing from a downwardly revised six-month high of 3.8% in June. The slowdown was largely due to a sharp contraction in mining and quarrying output (-11.9% vs +0.8% in June) and a weaker expansion in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (10.8% vs 25.1%).
By contrast, manufacturing output edged up to 2.6% from 2.5% in June, supported by recoveries in several segments: textiles (5.7% vs -2.9%), wood and wood products excluding furniture (2.0% vs -8.1%), and printing and reproduction of recorded media (7.2% vs -4.9%).
On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial output fell 1.1% in July, reversing an upwardly revised 1.4% increase in June. Over the first seven months of 2026, industrial production was 2.0% higher than in the same period a year earlier.
