Jordan’s industrial output rose by 1.2% year-on-year in July 2026, rebounding from a 1.3% contraction in June, which had been the sharpest decline since June 2024. The recovery was driven primarily by a turnaround in manufacturing, which expanded by 2.0% after a 1.1% drop in the previous month. At the same time, electricity and air-conditioning supply posted only a marginal increase (0.02% vs. 0.7% in June), while mining and quarrying output extended its downturn, falling 9.8% compared with a 6.7% decrease in June.
Over the first seven months of 2026, industrial production edged up by 0.2%, supported by modest gains in manufacturing (0.3%) and electricity (1.9%), offset in part by a 2.0% contraction in mining. On a monthly basis, industrial production surged 4.6% in July, sharply reversing a 0.5% decline recorded in June.
