Hungary’s current account balance slipped back into deficit in the second quarter of 2026, reversing the modest surplus recorded at the start of the year. According to data updated on 25 September 2026, the current account moved from a surplus of €0.251 billion in the first quarter of 2026 to a deficit of €0.245 billion in the second quarter.
