China’s services sector expanded at a slightly faster pace in September, according to the latest RatingDog Services PMI data. The index edged up to 51.6 in September 2026 from 51.4 in August 2026, signaling a modest strengthening in activity across the country’s service industries.
With the PMI remaining above the 50-point threshold that separates expansion from contraction, the data suggest that service providers in China continued to see improving business conditions as the third quarter drew to a close. The incremental gain, though small, points to a sustained, if cautious, recovery in the sector.
