South Korea’s export prices rose 40.9% year-on-year in September 2026, slowing slightly from a 42.4% increase in August. Prices of manufactured goods climbed 41.0%, driven in particular by a 108.3% surge in computers, electronic, and optical equipment. Coal and petroleum product prices jumped 78.2%, while chemical product prices advanced 12.8%. Prices of agricultural, forestry, and marine products increased 26.7% over the same period.
On a monthly basis, the Export Price Index declined 0.8%. The Export Volume Index grew 11.1% year-on-year, while the Export Value Index soared 89.2%. As a result, the Net Barter Terms of Trade Index improved by 25.4%.
