US stock futures were mostly lower on Tuesday as renewed concerns over data center financing kept pressure on the tech sector ahead of key earnings reports. S&P 500 futures edged down, Nasdaq 100 contracts slipped 0.6%, and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were little changed.
In Seoul, South Korean AI infrastructure provider Elice tumbled 32% in its trading debut, adding to signs that investors are growing weary of the large-scale funding demands from chipmakers and data center operators. In US premarket trading, CoreWeave fell 5% after a sharp decline in its bonds last week, while Micron, Marvell, and Arm each traded nearly 3% lower.
SpaceX shares were down about 1% ahead of its recently scheduled earnings release after the closing bell, a timing shift that may be aimed at facilitating another capital raise.
In contrast, more traditional sectors steadied after yesterday’s declines. Walmart, ExxonMobil, and Eli Lilly each gained more than 1%.
