Tiānjīn rounds out the top 10 China’s cities with robust purchasing power. Its population exceeds 14 million people. The urban area is the third largest metropolis in Mainland China. Tiānjīn is recognized as the leading industrial base in the country. The key industries are petrochemical and textile production, car manufacturing, and metalworking. Moreover, Tianjin Municipality has deposits of about 1 billion tons of petroleum which were extracted mainly from Dagand oilfield.
