Fishing and fish farming

The fishing and fish farming industry tops the rating. It accounts for the largest number of employees with the highest monthly incomes. Almost a third of employees get a salary above 100,000 rubles, and the average earnings of fishermen in the country are just over 63,000 rubles. At the same time, 5.9% of workers receive a minimum payment of less than 15,000 rubles, so a great number of employees in this industry is still low-paid if you take into account the entire country.

Finances

Second place is taken by finance companies whose employees earn about 61,500 rubles. In addition, more than 27% of all employees receive the highest salary. However, the share of low-paid jobs in finance is 1.2%, which, of course, is considered rather low.

Mineral extraction

Professionals in the field of mineral mining take third place in this rating. Their average earnings account for 64.800 rubles, and the number of highest-paid employees is more than 24%. The share of workers with the lowest incomes in this sector of the economy is extremely small – only 0.9%.

Professional and technical work

Fourth place in this rating belongs to employees in the field of consulting, audit, law, accounting, architecture, land use, technical testing, certification, etc. The number of employees with the highest income is 22.2% or 100, 000 rubles. Fifth place of the rating is occupied by the sphere of new technologies, namely IT and ICT. 22% of employees in this field have an income above 100,000 rubles. The average salary of an employee is about 49,300 rubles, and the share of small salaries is at the level of 3%.

Research and development

Research and development fields refer to the scientific sector that is traditionally considered poorly paid. However, as it turns out, there is a great number of highly paid employees in this field. The number of people with the highest salaries exceeds 19%. The average salary of a researcher or developer is more than 56,000 rubles. At the same time, the share of low-paid employees is around 3.5%.

Construction

Seventh place of the rating goes to the construction sector, which is also unexpected, given the peculiarities of this sphere in Russia. Of course, the income gap with other sectors of the economy is large, but it is still enough to be included in the top ten. There are about 10.4% of employees with high incomes, and the share of poorly paid employees is 6.7%. The average salary of an employee varies within 43,700 rubles.

Chemicals, pharmaceuticals and oil refining

Eighth place is occupied by specialists in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and oil refining industries. Notably, these spheres have always been considered one with the highest salaries across the labor market. However, the latest study showed that the proportion of the highest salaries here is only 8.4%. Yet, the share of employees with small salaries is only 1.6%. The average earnings of oil workers and chemists are the same as those of builders that is 43,700 rubles.

Industrial maintenance, vehicles and equipment installers

Ninth place in the top ten is taken by vehicles and equipment installers. These workers are usually called rednecks. Approximately 8.3% of these employees have high salaries. Low paid specialists total only 3.2%. Most of these employees earn an average of 41,б50 rubles a month.

Commerce

Commerce closes the top-10 highest paid professions in Russia. Compared with the first place on the list, the income gap is quite striking. Only a little more than 8% of specialists receive a high salary. The share of low-income workers is 8.4%. The average monthly salary is around 32,400 rubles.
