FX.co ★ John Kerry visits Russia

Negotiations between John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov started on Thursday. Earlier Lavrov said that he would like to discuss a possibly for the international community to interfere in resolution of the crisis in Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister said that Vladimir Putin would be informed about the results of negotiations without any delay. Russian leader is supposed to meet with Kerry as well.

Some believe that unofficial purpose of Kerry's visit is to influence the Russian court decision which sentenced Ukrainian Nadezhda Savchenko to 22 years in prison. However, the Foreign Ministry said the main purpose why Secretary of State arrived in Moscow is to have talks on Syria.

Political experts say that Kerry's visit to Moscow is a sign that Russian campaign in Syria was successful. Most experts believe that the decisions which Moscow had made while participating in Syrian conflict changed opinions of other states on Vladimir Putin.
