Data was collected via NetBase's social media listening platform which was used across Europe from April 2015 to March 2016. Apple has been ranked as the most loved brand. The list of the 50 most attractive brands in Europe includes 5 IT-brands.

It was followed by another technology brand, Google. Last year, the company went through big changes, in particular structural reorganization.

Danish toy maker Lego came in at third. Owing to a large number of young fans, the company is the second loved brand of consumer goods.

Famous automaker BMW is ranked fourth on the popularity list. In 2016, the corporation celebrates its 100 anniversary. This year, the company has been acknowledged to be the most desirable car brand in Europe. Sensitive to the spirits of the times, the automaker is developing digital maps, sensor technologies, and artificial intelligence.

Adidas takes the 5th place among the most popular brands. The German sportswear brand was founded by entrepreneur Adolf Dassler. His older brother Rudolf created another popular clothing brand, Puma.

Chanel settles at No 6 in the NetBase rating as the most loved high-end fashion brand in Europe. It was founded in 1909 by fashion designer Coco Chanel.

Britain's largest supermarket chain Tesco has spread across Europe and Asia. It takes the 7th place. In April, the grocery giant returned to profitability after facing massive losses of £6.4 billion ($9.3 billion) in 2015.

German car-maker Audi is named the 8th most loved brand in Europe. Besides, it is the second most-loved car brand in Europe. In May 2016, Audi announced it would release at least one electric car per year from 2018. CEO Rupert Stadler said fully self-driving cars will be available “by 2025."

Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari landed at No 9. Ferrari produces three types of cars: sports cars, Grand Touring or “GT" cars, and exotic hypercars.

German car manufacturer Porsche completes the top ten by NetBase. It specializes in sports cars and SUVs. In March, it reported a profit surge of 25%. Porsche owes its success to increasing sales of SUVs, like the Cayenne and the Macan.
