The world's highest tower opens in the British city of Brighton
On Thursday, the planet's tallest tower the British Airways i360 was operated for the first time in the British seaside city of Brighton. It has an observation platform. The visitors can have a beautiful view down on the English Channel and a long beachline of the East and West Sussex counties.
The first guests entered the tower on the 4th of August. Some of them mentioned that a mobile observing platform made of transparrent glass resembles the UFO.

The vieving pod is moving vertially along the 161m-heigh needle with the width of 4m. The oustanding fact about the needle is that the ratio of height to width is 1 to 40, which is the world record.

As a matter of fact, the tower tour is not that cheap. One entrance ticket for an adult person costs 15 pounds (about $20), the students and elderly people can get to the top of it for 12.5 pounds, the kids' pass price equals to 7.5 pounds. No fee is needed for those under 4 years of age.

The organizers of the opening ceremony were disappointed at the cloudy weather, which prevented from fireworks. Thus the bright part of the event has been shifted to a different date.
