Two people were wounded as a result of the incident. All bus passengers are alive.

Witnesses say they heard two gunshots when the bus was travelling between two Olympic venues: Deodoro zone, which hosts events such as hockey, basketball and rugby, and the Olympic Park.

Hopefully, none of the passengers were seriously injured. Two journalists asked for medical treatment for light wounds from the flying glass and shrapnel.

The incident can severely damage the image of the Olympics' organizers. Concerns over security at the event began long before the Rio 2016' start. Thousands of policemen patrol streets of Rio de Janeiro.
