Grand Egyptian Museum (Giza Museum)

The Grand Egyptian Museum is an archaeological museum under construction in Giza, Egypt. Its construction began back in 2002, and now, after 20 years, it is finally ready to open its doors to the first visitors. The opening of the museum with the world's largest exposition dedicated to only one civilization is scheduled for November this year. More than 50,000 exhibits, including 5,000 items that are classified as treasures of ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen, including his death mask, will be collected under one roof.

Museum of the Future

Perhaps the most unusual museum in the world today opened earlier this year in the United Arab Emirates. What makes it unusual is that its exposition is dedicated not to the past, but to the future: instead of objects of antiquity, futuristic objects are exhibited within the walls of the museum. Thus, for example, one of the halls takes visitors to the year 2071 - the time when the United Arab Emirates will be 100 years old. Museum of Broadway

November 15, the first museum dedicated to the history of the Broadway theater will open in Times Square in New York. The museum will tell its visitors how this famous theater district came to be, show the evolution of its world-renowned shows, and even take visitors behind the scenes of their favorite musicals. The museum's collection will feature stage costumes, scenery and photographs of performances. Another feature of the exposition will be its interactivity. The best American designers, led by Broadway producer and Tony Award winner Julie Boardman, worked to create this exhibition.

Hong Kong Palace Museum

The museum's collection includes more than 900 exhibits that have the status of a national treasure of the country. Many of them are being exhibited for the first time, so it is not surprising that the opening of the Palace Museum caused a huge public outcry. Tickets are booked in advance and sell like hot cakes.

Maison Gainsbourg

This October, a museum dedicated to the work of legendary French chansonnier Serge Gainsbourg will open its doors in Paris. The exposition will be housed within the walls of the singer's former house on the Rue de Verneuil. After the singer died of a heart attack in March 1991, this building became a real place of pilgrimage for his fans. Thousands of them came here every year to pay tribute to the memory of their idol by laying flowers near his house. And finally, they will be allowed into the holy of holies - a house saturated with the atmosphere of the last days of the artist's life.

Norway’s National Museum

The opening of the new National Museum, considered today the largest cultural center in Northern Europe, took place in Oslo in early June of this year. Under a single roof, it would house more than 100,000 unique exhibits, including the famous Baldishol tapestry and many Golden Age Flemish landscapes. The standout feature of the new museum, which cost €600 million to build, is the massive 2,400 square meter Light Hall exhibition space, while the total area of the museum is 13,000 square meters.

Museum of Art and Photography (MAP)

The opening of a new national museum in the Indian city of Bangalore is scheduled for the end of the year. Its exhibition will feature paintings, textiles, sculptures, design objects and photographs from the private collection of Abhishek Poddar. A well-known Indian businessman is going to put on display more than 18,000 pieces of art covering the time range from the 12th century to the present day. In the future, all exhibits of the collection are supposed to be digitized and posted on the museum's website.
