FX.co ★ A major railway accident in Pakistan: the aftermath

According to the police as a result the crash of two trains in the city Karachi killed 18 people (some sources say about 20 victims). A few dozens of citizens were injured. At the scene of the accident the rescue operations about extraction of the passengers from under the wreckage of train formations are in progress.

It's known that the accident has been taken place at a railway station of Karachi. The railway employees are blamed for the accident – it was they who allowed the train to move on at the moment when another train was at the stop.

The station where the train formations has crashed is known by its excessive workload. The city Karachi itself is the major population center of Pakistan.

The local officials announced that about thousand of passengers could be in the trains at the moment of the accident.
