Lunar mission of Artemis II
In the autumn of 2024, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) plans to send the SLS rocket and the Orion spacecraft with a crew onboard to the Moon for the first time. During the ten-day mission of Artemis II, astronauts are expected to orbit the Moon, testing new cutting-edge technologies for further space exploration. The crew will travel 370,000 km from Earth, setting an absolute record in the history of space travel.
Neurotechnological revolution with Neuralink
The odds are that Neuralink, the company of the world's richest person Elon Musk, will start implanting devices into the brains of people with paralysis. These devices will transmit brain activity to computers, converting thoughts into commands, and allowing the user to control limbs. The implantation surgery, which takes only 25 minutes, will open new horizons in reviving lost functions and integrating humans with technology. This year, Neuralink is going to conduct 11 such operations.
Air taxis in skies of Paris
By the summer of 2024, the German startup Volocopter plans to launch its innovative project, VoloCity Air Taxi in Paris. Silent electric aircraft, rising to a height of 500 meters, are expected to connect key points across France’s capital over a distance of 35 km, providing an environmentally friendly mode of transportation for city residents and tourists during the Summer Olympic Games. In the future, Volocopter intends to launch air taxis in Rome, Singapore, and Neom.
First tiny nuclear reactor
This year, the MARVEL reactor, produced by the Idaho National Laboratory, will be connected to the world's first nuclear microgrid in the US. This reactor represents a source of more economical and environmentally friendly nuclear energy. MARVEL, generating 100 kW of energy, is expected to benefit public utilities, including water purification and heating supply.

In 2024, the startup Humane, founded by former Apple employees, will roll out to the public its innovative AI Pin device, designed to be worn on clothing. The gadget looks like a small brooch that has a wide range of various functions: voice commands, projecting information onto the palm, photo and video recording, text translation, and many more.
