Top highlights at 2024 New York International Auto Show
Kia K4 2025
One of the most talked-about premieres at the New York International Auto Show is the new K4 sedan from South Korean company Kia. This model is set to replace the popular Forte in the market, as it is not only longer and wider than its predecessor but also significantly surpasses it in style and quality. The K4 features a dynamic design, highlighted by expressive wheel arches and an elegant roofline, giving it a sportscar-like appearance. The sedan’s interior has also seen substantial improvements, equipped with the latest technological innovations and finished with high-quality materials.
Hyundai Santa Cruz 2025
Another South Korean manufacturer, Hyundai, also showcased an updated version of its relatively recent model at the show in New York. The Santa Cruz model launched just two years ago has already received significant enhancements. A shortened front overhang, robust towing hooks, and off-road tires underscore its readiness for any adventure. The updated pickup has gained a more aggressive design, with features like heated rear seats and an improved wireless charging station making it even more comfortable.
Genesis GV60 Magma
South Korean luxury carmaker Genesis unveiled four high-performance Magma concept cars at the New York show, poised to compete directly with BMW M and Mercedes-AMG lines. The novelty was the GV60 Magma model in bright orange, embodying power with its 601 horsepower. The car’s main feature is the combination of high speed and enhanced comfort, making it a perfect choice not only for track days but also for everyday use.
Nissan Kicks 2025
Many journalists hailed the updated Kicks model from Japanese manufacturer Nissan as the show-stopper of the New York International Auto Show. The 2025 version of this SUV has become more spacious and comfortable, with significant enhancements in technical equipment. It is now powered by a 2-liter atmospheric engine producing 141 horsepower, replacing the previous 1.6-liter unit mated to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission. Moreover, the Kick now offers four-wheel drive, which increases the vehicle's versatility in a wide range of road conditions.
Infiniti QX80 2025
Another Japanese automaker presented the updated flagship SUV QX80 at the show in New York. The main advantage of this model is the 450-horsepower V6 engine, which replaces the previous, more fuel-consuming V8. Additionally, the 2025 version boasts a more refined and modern design inspired by the QX Monograph concept. The vehicle has also become more comfortable, equipped with massage rear seats, individual climate zones for passengers, and a 24-speaker audio system from Klipsch.
