Finally, the Greek government reached agreement with creditors. As a result, the country will receive €86 billion. The third bailout package will be dispersed in three installments. The funds, as part of aid for Greece, will be loaned in three years through the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). A compromise solution was an important step. The Eurogroup's agreement was welcomed by the European Commission. Officials approved all items of the new aid package for providing financial support to Athens which will be made available over the next three years. "Of course there were differences, but we have managed to solve the last issues. Greece is and will irreversibly remain a member of the eurozone, and the European Commission will support the Greek economy to return to growth," the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said at a briefing to reporters commenting on the agreement with Greece. Importantly, the majority of the Greek Parliament approved the new loan program. During voting, the bailout deal was passed with 222 lawmakers voting in favor and 64 voting against.
