Sometimes it can be quite troublesome to be a neighboring country to the leading super power, especially if the super state plans to change its governing style radically. Mexico will probably experience all the ‘wonders’ of Trump’s presidency if he wins the November election.
The billionaire’s campaign trail has already affected the situation in Mexico. The country’s national currency immediately reacts to slightest changes in Trump’s rating. The latest poll of Americans indicated rising trust in the Republican candidate and it caused a record slump in the Mexican peso to fresh all-time lows against the US dollar. Overall, the peso has lost over 10.5% this year. Only the Argentine peso faces a worse situation. Trump is a migration dissenter. He even promised to build a wall on the US southern border with Mexico. The presidential nominee insisted that Mexico would pay for the border wall.
Nevertheless, Americans seem to like bizarre ideas. The latest surveys show that Trump gained in popularity and even had a narrow margin.
