iPad was released in 2010, and since that time it has been in fierce competition with the netbooks. According to the forecasts, in 2013 the netbook sales will decrease to 72% comparing to the sales of 2012, and in two years mini-computers will totally disappear.
Despite a great popularity of netbooks not just in developing countries, but also in developed ones, they're being ceaselessly displaced by iPad from the world markets. Portable computers based on the Atom processor fitted with simple characteristics and long battery life can't be helped even by low prices. Netbooks are losing their ground.
According to IHS iSuppi such netbooks as Acer are doomed to disappear. Experts say that if in 2010 there were 32,14 million of sold devices , in 2013 the number of netbooks can't exceed 3,97 million. Forecasts for the next year are even more disappointing: 264,000 of devices for 2014 and zero for 2015.
Thank to low price and enough (in customers' opinion) computational capacity netbooks became very popular. But from the time of iPad production, netbooks fade into oblivion.
