Greece has successfully exited the three-year bailout program. The country regained its financial independence and now does not need the external management of the largest international creditors. It took almost 8 years for Greece to finally cope with the crisis and successfully complete the program of financial assistance.
Full debt repayment was officially confirmed by the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). "Greece officially concludes its three-year ESM financial assistance program today with a successful exit. Today we can safely conclude the ESM program with no more follow-up rescue programs as, for the first time since early 2010, Greece can stand on its own feet," ESM said. Those, who predicted total credit slavery to Greece and, in general, the country auctioning from the very beginning, now have to look for a new reason for panic. The experience of Greece is a vivid example of real cohesion. According to ESM, the crisis has been overcome primarily thanks to the "extraordinary effort of the Greek people, the good cooperation with the current Greek government and the support of European partners through loans and debt relief".
Greece recognized the problem, and this is the first step on the way to the solution. At the very beginning of the crisis there were many strikes aimed at PR, but then the situation stabilized. Megalomania aside, the country accepted help, and the people were sympathetic to the situation. As a result, Greece managed not only to survive, but also to complete the program of financial assistance in time.
