Leaders of 28 EU countries agreed to extend sanctions against a group of individuals and legal entities from Russia.
The restrictions are to be prolonged in the next six months. At first, this measure should be adopted at the EU Ambassadors Conference and approved by the European Council. The decision will come into effect after being published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
Last time the European countries extended anti-Russian sanctions in March 2018. They will expire on September 15. The current restrictions apply to 155 individuals and 44 companies. They are prohibited from entering the territory of the European Union.
