Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has filed the lawsuit against Forbes magazine in London's High Court the other day. The reason for that was, according to the royal, the underestimation of his wealth. He accuses the publishers, editor Randall Lane and several journalists of the magazine, of libel. Alwaleed bin Talal thinks that Forbes lessened his capital by $9.6 billion on purpose. Now the prince is demanding for his exclusion from the billionaires' rating and has brought charges with rights and interests infringement of the businessmen from the Middle East. Forbes gave Prince Alwaleed the 26th position estimating his worth at $20 billion and does not understand the ground of the claims. Forbes was surprised even more, when it got to know the place of lodging the claim, because fortune evaluation has nothing to do with the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom. Besides, the magazine's journalists commented on $9.6 billion difference. The point is that the Kingdom Holding shares, which make the main part of the prince's assets, were suspiciously increasing in price for several years in a row just one month before the ranking release. According to Forbes, such price fluctuations of the shares were nothing but the manipulations of Alwaleed bin Talal.
