Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused Donald Trump of stealing billions from people's health care. According to Mr Maduro, the American leader has already ruined Venezuela’s economy, dealt a blow to the national currency, plunged the country into the chaos of civil war and almost bankrupted the the country which holds the world’s largest oilfields. And now he began to rob the most vulnerable groups of people.
The Venezuelan president blamed Donald Trump for withholding $5 billion which was meant for the production of medicine. Mr Maduro stated that the American leader is responsible for "the most criminal measure" against the Venezuelan people. The president added that nobody will punishes or humiliates them. Nicolas Maduro promised that the national pharmaceutical industry would be able to satisfy up to 70 percent of domestic demand for medicines in the next few months. The remaining 30 percent will be imported. "We have strong ties with China, Russia, India, Turkey, Iran and Belarus," the Venezuelan leader added.
