Huawei is out of US-China deal

Reportedly, Huawei has not been included in the US-China deal even though the US allowed several American companies to continue further cooperation with the Chinese telecommunication corporation. According to US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Huawei should remain blacklisted. The fact is the agreement, as well as the war itself, are trade-related while allegations against Huawei are about privacy violations. The company is a branch of Chinese intelligence that gathers personal data of its users around the globe and delivers information to Chinese security agencies. That is the only reason why the company is out of the deal. “We are not dealing with Huawei under this agreement,” said Robert Lighthizer. As for further steps towards signing the deal, the United States has done everything. President Donald Trump has decided not to raise customs tariffs on Chinese goods since October 15, as it was previously planned. According to US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, the US is going to hold off on raising tariffs on Chinese goods from 25% to 30% as initially scheduled. Beijing, in return, promised to increase the purchase of agricultural products from the United States.
