Vladimir Putin invited the members of the Asia-Pacific business community to Siberia. In his speech, the Russian leader proposed his counterparts to learn carefully the large-scale projects planned to be run in the Far East and Siberia. According to Putin, development of the public-private partnership may fix up new capital inflows to such projects. Besides, the Russian authorities have already been in such collaboration within several programs designed to upgrade the infrastructure in these Russian regions. The chief of the state said that this plan will be implemented with the help of money that Russia used to keep in reserve. “We invite business partners from the Asia-Pacific region to join these projects and take part, for example, in the large-scale modernization of the Trans-Siberian and Baikal-Amur railways, and development of the Northern Sea Route,” Russian president noted. In his opinion, investors need to understand that the business climate has been improving and there are all the conditions for foreign companies to operate in Russia.
