When comparing Donald Trump and Joe Biden, political analysts have noticed one peculiar thing. On the one hand, the former US leader was publicly accused of siding with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. On the other hand, the current US president is known for his tough stance on Russia.
However, when analysts compared the actions of the two politicians, they have noticed an interesting tendency. Donald Trump did not hesitate and immediately imposed sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. He intended to strengthen missile defense systems in Central and Eastern Europe that were somewhat abandoned during Barak Obama’s presidency and the reset of diplomatic relations with Russia. In other words, Trump took immediate and decisive actions against Russia.
Meanwhile, Putin’s opponent Joe Biden has always fiercely criticized Russia. However, everything turned out to be completely different in reality. Republicans and Biden’s democratic supporters believe that the president has adopted a weaker stance on Russia. Biden has almost approved the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, thus acting in the interest of liberal Germany and ignoring the interest of his own country. This can hardly be called a strong decision.
