Malaysia Airlines’ shares dropped 20% at the opening of trades on March 10 to 0.2 ringgit per share. At the closing of the previous trading session, the price of the company that owns the missing passenger jet reached 0.25 ringgit.
That followed after a Malaysia Airlines aircraft departed from Kuala Lumpur went missing. The representatives of Malaysia Airlines reported about the missing plane which carried 227 passengers on March 8, 2014. Radar contact with the Boeing 777-200 was lost after its takeoff from Kuala Lumpur at 0:41 (local time). It was to land in Beijing at 6:30. It had people from 13 countries on board.
It subsequently became known that the plane disappeared from radar screens when it flew over the South China Sea. There is no information confirming that the plane was crashed. Rescuers from Vietnam and Malaysia continue search operation.
