Elon Musk repeatedly voiced his concern about humanity and its future. Tesla and SpaceX CEO reacted instantly to the request of the Executive Director of the UN World Food Program (WFP) David Beasley.
The US billionaire said that he could spend some of his money to help solve world hunger. Notably, amid the global crisis, David Beasley considered it appropriate to ask the richest man in the world to allocate $6 billion to fight global hunger and its consequences.
According to the UN, at least 42 million people have been affected by the problem this year. "And, if we don’t reach them you will have famine, destabilization nations, and mass migration. Six billion dollars to help 42 million people that are literally going to die if we don’t reach them. It’s not complicated, " Beasley wrote.
The businessman rapidly responded to this proposition. "If WRP can describe on this Twitter thread how $6B will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now," Elon Musk wrote in his Twitter. Besides, he added that the UN must provide open source accounting about spending money to the public. SpaceX chief previously expressed his view about the controversial tax for billionaires. He assumes that this initiative could later cause problems for common US citizens.
