On Monday, Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc. (BW) announced that its subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Canada Corp., has been awarded a contract worth more than $13 million to help a North American petroleum refinery meet its environmental regulations.
The contract includes providing 18 high-efficiency, low-nitrogen oxide burners for three plant units, to lower their nitrogen oxide emissions. Additionally, the agreement also involves the design of a flue gas recirculation system, the provision of performance engineering services, and the supply of fans and other equipment for one of the units.
The company confirmed that the supply of equipment is currently underway and is scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2024.
