Boxlight Corp. (BOXL), a provider of interactive technology solutions, announced on Wednesday that Dale Strang has been appointed as the company's Chief Executive Officer by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors. Strang had previously assumed the role of Interim CEO in January 2024.
With a career spanning over 35 years in consumer technology, media, and entertainment, Strang brings considerable expertise to his new role. He has been a member of Boxlight's Board of Directors since 2017 and has contributed to several committees, notably serving as the chair of the company's compensation committee.
Before this appointment, Strang was Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Johnson Controls International plc, a position he held from June 2018 to July 2023. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Media Strategy & Operations at Healthline Media.
Strang's extensive background also includes his tenure as President and CEO of both Viximo and SpinMedia. Earlier in his career, he was Executive Vice President & General Manager at IGN Entertainment, Inc., where he played a significant role in the company's growth leading up to its acquisition by News Corporation's Fox Interactive Media unit in 2005.
