Canadian Solar Inc. (CSIQ) announced Thursday that it has formed a partnership with homebuilder D.R. Horton to supply solar and energy storage products for communities throughout California.
Financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Under this agreement, Canadian Solar will provide a comprehensive home energy battery backup solution, which will include its solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and its residential energy storage system, EP Cube.
"Our solar panels, combined with the EP Cube, allow homeowners to reduce their electricity bills while providing a dependable power source during rolling blackouts, ensuring their homes remain operational and comfortable," said Thomas Koerner, Senior Vice President of Canadian Solar.
