German flag carrier, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DLAKY), has announced an adjustment to its services in the Middle East, citing current security assessments. The airline is suspending operations in the region until Wednesday, August 26th, according to details posted on its website on Monday.
This suspension affects all Lufthansa flights to Amman, Beirut, Erbil, Tehran, and Tel Aviv. Passengers impacted by this suspension are being offered the option to rebook or cancel their flights at no additional cost.
Additionally, Lufthansa has stated that passengers traveling to or from Amman, Beirut, Erbil, Tehran, and Tel Aviv, whose flights are not canceled but are booked on or before August 31st, can also cancel their booking free of charge under a travel waiver policy.
