Kopin (KOPN) has secured a $1.3 million follow-on order for its Emerald microdisplay modules, which are utilized in a prominent weapon sight product. This order represents continued deliveries within a multi-year production contract.
The Emerald module is a comprehensive system that incorporates Kopin's monochrome transmissive active-matrix liquid crystal display (AM-LCD) with SVGA resolution. It features an LED backlight and integrated drive electronics, all built upon Kopin’s proprietary CyberDisplay architecture.
