Bell Expands Collaboration With Microsoft To Launch Services For Teams Phone Mobile

BCE Inc., a renowned Canadian communications company, announced on Tuesday the introduction of services for Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile—a mobile-first solution innovatively merging mobile numbers with Microsoft Teams for seamless communication and collaboration.

Teams Phone Mobile is designed to offer a uniform user experience, augmenting business communications while enhancing productivity and operational efficiency. According to the company, these advanced features are particularly beneficial in facilitating the transition between home, office, and remote work settings, thereby making mobile and hybrid work environments more manageable.

In addition to calling capabilities, Bell offers a suite of Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions. These encompass Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and security services. As a result, they provide comprehensive Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) resale options, along with professional services and tailored management solutions for Microsoft 365 subscriptions. This includes Teams Phone and Microsoft Defender.

Through this collaboration, Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile users can seamlessly make and receive business calls using either a mobile device's native dialer or the Teams application—utilizing a single mobile number. Users also have the flexibility to make and receive business calls from various devices such as mobiles, laptops, desktops, or tablets, with full access to Teams’ features.

Moreover, IT administrators now benefit from an enhanced capability to manage both mobile and fixed-line Teams Phone users within the Microsoft 365 Admin Portal, simplifying the processes of moving, adding, and modifying user configurations.

Bell's expansion of Teams calling solutions now includes the new Teams Phone Mobile services, which complement existing offerings such as Operator Connect, Direct Routing as a Service, and Direct Routing.
